Water Fire on the Mile | Columbus, Ohio

Last night Jeff and I decided to attend Waterfire on the Scioto River in front of Cosi. Very cool experience, if you are in the Columbus area (or close to), and have never been.

The event began at 7:45 with live entertainment; bongo players and other musicians. The fires were to be lighted at 8:45, but a giant thunderstorm came rolling in right around 8:30pm. The fires were finally lighted around 9:15. Very serene and relaxing and music complimented the view.

Here are a few of the images I snagged while there.

Great pictures, Jenni and a fun time, I'm sure. They've been doing this in Providence for a number of years and it's an amazing event. In Providence, they have opera music playing and it's pretty spectacular. I recommend it to anyne who has an opportunity.

We had this in Kansas City, MO on the Country Club Plaza (a creek runs through it). They had music and fire eaters and jugglers. Neat.
